This project contains a python code to display the surface of a fluid joint and to compare numerical simulations from the energy-based software Surface Evolver to a proposed Capillary Geometric Model. The studied fluid joint is composed of two circular surfaces in translation with respect to each other, linked by a capillary bridge of constant volume. Fluid joints are of interest as soft mechanical joints for microrobotics when capillary effects are predominant over gravity. They offer compliance, numerous degrees of freedom and large motions depending on their design.
